Director of City Lit's production of August Wilson’s Seven Guitars Manny Buckley joins acclaimed director and actor Ron OJ Parson for a conversation about their experiences of directing Seven Guitars and putting August Wilson’s work on stage. Join them for fascinating insights about producing Wilson's work and ask them more about what goes on behind the scenes.

Grammy winner, Blues Music Award winner and author of The Blues Parade shares his tales of BB King, Howlin’ Wolf and Muddy Waters and takes the audience on a tour of the Blues from its origins right up to the present day.

Bear Williams & Bill Brickey
2023 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award Winner and co-founder of GVR Records Bear Williams (aka Larry Kimpel) and Bill Brickey team up on the City Lit stage for an extraordinary one-off concert of Blues classics and surprises, spanning the whole history of the Blues. Bear is probably most known as Music Director and bass player with Frankie Beverly and Maze and has played with many of the greats including Mavis Staples, Anita Baker, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Patti LaBelle, Randy Crawford, George Benson, Little Richard, Bobby Womack, Alanis Morrisette, Joe Cocker, and Al Jarreau.
